An Old Man

I haven't been posting much lately due to having only about 3 hours of personal time a day. Please forgive the lack of content.



I saw this scene which reminds me of simpler times when cellphones were exclusive to the wealthy.

This modestly dressed elderly man depends on a public phone somewhere in Miri town for communication. Possibly having just finished shopping, (observe black plastic bag with book-shaped item) he could be calling his friends for a social gathering. MMT.

Aboard the Aerobus - Back to Miri [PICS] [VID]

I was on my way to Miri one time and I had to take an Aerobus to LCCT. I got a front row seat and I had a good view of whatever that's in front of me.



This is the bus cockpit(teehee). Nice bus drivers sit over there and drive buses. Image stitched with freeware Autostitch.



I was always intrigued by long shots of traffic. See if you feel the same.



That's MMU. It's ironic how I had to take a 45-minute bus ride all the way to KL sentral from MMU only to have the 1-hour bus take me back to Cyberjaya then proceed on to LCCT.

The above is a video is a collection of clips taken during what I like to call the "first mark" of my trip to Miri.

The first clip shows me in the E1 bus to KL Sentral spotting a taxi driver dig his nose.

The second clip shows me catching a landing plane right as we pass the runway threshold.

The subsequent clips are of the blue-engined A320 of Air Asia on which I hopped on back to Miri on 11-01-09

Familiar Miri buildings explode

Haha got you guys there for a moment there didn't I? To those from MC.net you will realise those buildings look like SMK Chung Hua Miri's school blocks.

To avoid controversy, I shall quote the creator's description:

Three Chinese Nuclear Canons (from CNC Generals) destroy MY SCHOOL!

The main reason I made this animation was not to create controversy. I was taking the easy way out. I had previously constructed these structures for SMK Chung Hua Miri's concert night opening intro.

Instead of remodelling entire structures just for this short animation, I just changed the color of the roof to red and modified their arrangements so that they don't look like my school.

But sharp-eyed individuals may see notice the geometry of the buildings somewhat match SMK Chung Hua's buildings.

Then again, most of the school building designs in Miri look similiar. So, interpret it however you like.

Just know that I have no grudge against my school and I enjoyed my time being there. So actually blowing up my school is never going to be on my to-do list.

The day has come for me to leave my hometown Miri and return to my other hometown, Cyberjayaaaaaaa~!

Before leaving, let's see a couple of photos of Miri's mascot.

Here's one seen at a local supermarket. Very well done. Next to it was a donation box possibly for China quake victims. Not sure if the SEAHORSE ACTION FIGURE has anything to do with the box or not. Not even sure if the donation box is legit. (SUE ME I CAN'T READ MY NATIVE LANGUAGE)

If you were to turn your head to the right of this picture, you would see the pedastal atop which the giant seahorse is proudly standing upon.

Those are a bunch of tourists who came over to see the place. Probably some Bruneiens mixed in in there.
